final contributor list
hey everyone, the final list as of 01-04-08 is up, posted to the left. I am sorry if your name is not there and you have emailed me, I simply cannot respond to every single person since there were over 200 submissions. If I did email you with a concrete YES about your comic going in the book, yet your name is not on there, please email me at JuliaWertz(at)gmail(dot)com.
if otherwise, please know that selecting pieces for the book was a long, tedious task that took three people, and at many times we disagreed, so please don't take it personally.
This is probably the part where I say happy new year, but I think new years is total bullshit.

I Saw You: missed connection comics

While Craigslist offers a variety of public services from apartments to one night flings, the Missed Connection ads offers a tender insight into a world of people who run around the city making eye contact with strangers and falling instantly and madly in love. And what better way to pay homage to such unrequited love than to exploit it in a comic book?
“I Saw You…” is an illustrated anthology of Craigslist, newspaper and weekly's missed connection ads edited by Julia Wertz of the Fart Party.
I AM ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS UNTIL DECEMBER 2007.
The idea is to take a missed connection ad and illustrate it however you see fit. If you have a good story that isn't an ad but has to do with a missed connection, you may make a comic out of that as well.
These are the legal rules: If you use the complete text from an ad, you MUST have permission from the poster. The easiest way to do that is to just email and ask, and save the email. If you just want to use a few sentences from an ad, if they are fairly general and you change any defining characteristics like names/places, you do not need permission. Please do NOT email me unless you have a question that cannot be answered by the blog, only because my internet access is minimal and I may not be able to respond.
